Cancellation policy
I understand that, from time to time, it may not be possible to attend an appointment or you may need to cancel at short notice. At the same time, your session time is reserved exclusively for you, and I schedule appointments in a way that helps you avoid waiting times. To keep this structure in place, only the agreed time is available. If you arrive late, the session cannot be extended to make up for missed minutes.
- Reserved time: your appointment is booked exclusively for you, with no waiting times
- Cancellation notice: free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment
- Fees: the full fee is charged for late cancellations or missed appointments
By choosing to work with me, you also commit to a respectful and reliable arrangement – attending sessions punctually and cancelling at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend. Appointments that are not cancelled in time, or are missed, are charged at the full fee. This also applies if you miss an appointment for unforeseen reasons, such as traffic delays or unexpectedly extended working hours.
Confidentiality
Trust and a sense of safety are central to psychotherapy. They are supported by my professional commitment to confidentiality and by my compliance with the legal duty of confidentiality.
Exceptions to the legal duty of confidentiality:
Confidentiality also applies in relation to family members. Exceptions may apply where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, and in work with minors. In these situations, it is necessary to balance the child’s right to confidentiality with the parents’ or legal guardians’ right to be informed. Where a child’s wellbeing requires it, information may be shared with parents if effective treatment can only be achieved in cooperation with them. Further information can be found in Article 22 of Austria’s Violence Protection Act 2019.
