Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Allstories Manuel Mölzer, hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, and “I”. In this privacy policy, we, as the controller according to Art. 4 Para. 7 of the EU GDPR, describe what data we collect when you visit our website and for what purpose we process it. All relevant contact details can be found in section 10 of this privacy policy.

As the protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us, we strictly adhere to the legal requirements of the Data Protection Act (DSG) and the EU GDPR when collecting and processing your personal data.

In the following, we will inform you in detail about the scope and purpose of our data processing, as well as your rights as a data subject. Please read our privacy policy carefully before continuing to use our website and, if applicable, giving your consent to data processing.

1. Personal Data

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. However, for the use of individual services, different regulations may apply, which we will inform you about separately.

Therefore, apart from the cookies described in detail below, we generally only collect and store data that you voluntarily provide to us by entering it into our input forms or by actively interacting with our website in any other way. Personal data refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, address, telephone number, or date of birth.

2. Use of Cookies

a. When using our website for informational purposes only, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to visit our website, we collect the data listed below, which are technically necessary for us to display the website to you and to ensure its stability and security in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f EU GDPR:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request
  • Access status / HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser used
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software

b. In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website; these are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, assigned to the browser you are using, and through which certain information is transmitted to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). According to the current state of technology, cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer, but merely serve to make the internet offering more user-friendly and effective.

c. Our website(s) use the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:

  • Transient CookiesTransient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. This includes, in particular, session cookies, which store a so-called session ID, allowing various requests from your browser to be assigned to the common session. This enables your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. These session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
  • Persistent CookiesPersistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predetermined period, which may vary depending on the cookie. However, you can delete the cookies yourself at any time in your browser settings.

d. You can change your browser settings to, for example, reject third-party cookies or all cookies. In this case, however, we must point out that you may not be able to use all functions of our website.

e. We also use cookies to identify you for subsequent visits if you have an account with us – otherwise, you would have to log in again each time you visit.

f. The Flash cookies we use are not collected by your browser but by your Flash plug-in. In addition, we use HTML5 storage objects, which are stored on your device. These objects store the necessary data independently of your browser and have no automatic expiration date. You can prevent the processing of Flash cookies by installing appropriate add-ons in your browser or by using it in private mode.

3. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Personal data beyond the information stored by cookies is processed by us only if you voluntarily provide it to us, for example, when you register with us, enter into a contractual relationship with us, or otherwise contact us. This exclusively concerns contact details and information about the concerns you bring to us.

We use the personal data you provide exclusively within the scope necessary to fulfill the respective purpose of processing (e.g., registration, newsletter dispatch, order processing, sending of information material and advertising, handling a competition, answering a question, enabling access to certain information), and/or if this is legally permissible (especially according to Art. 6 EU GDPR) (e.g., sending advertising and information material to existing customers).

The purpose of processing your data is to operate our website and to provide targeted company-specific information, including the presentation of our goods and services (marketing). Any further use of your data will only take place if you have given your explicit consent beforehand. You can revoke your consent – as explained in detail below – at any time for the future.

4. Storage Period

Data that you have provided to us exclusively for customer service or for marketing and information purposes will generally be stored by us until three years after our last contact. If you wish, we will delete your data even before this period expires, provided there is no legal impediment.

In the event of contract initiation or conclusion, we process your personal data after complete contract fulfillment until the expiration of the warranty, guarantee, limitation, and statutory retention periods applicable to us, and furthermore until the termination of any legal disputes in which the data is required as evidence.

5. Newsletter

You have the option to subscribe to our free newsletter. With this newsletter, you will regularly receive all current news and information about our company as well as tailored advertising. To receive our newsletter, you need a valid email address. We check the email address you entered in our registration form to ensure that you actually wish to receive newsletters. This is done by sending an email to the email address you provided, the receipt of which you can confirm by clicking on a provided link. After confirming the email, you are subscribed to our newsletter. (Double Opt-In)

Upon initial registration for the newsletter, we store your IP address, the date, and the time of your registration. This is done for security reasons, in case a third party misuses your email address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge. No further data is collected and processed by us for the newsletter subscription; the data is used exclusively for receiving the newsletter.

Your data for newsletter registration will not be passed on to third parties. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time; details on how to unsubscribe can be found in the confirmation email and in each individual newsletter.

6. Tools and Applications Used

a. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This service uses so-called “cookies” (see above). The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there.

On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The storage of cookies required by Google Analytics can be prevented by a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, this may result in you not being able to fully use all functions of this website. You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If you would like more information about the type, scope, and purpose of the data collected by Google, we recommend that you read their privacy policy.

b. We also use Google Adwords to draw attention to our attractive offers and products on external websites through advertisements. This tool also allows us to precisely determine the relationship between individual advertising measures related to specific campaigns. Our interest in doing so is to show you tailored advertising according to your interests and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs within this framework.

The advertisements displayed to you are served by Google via so-called “Ad Servers”. For this purpose, we use Ad Server cookies, through which certain parameters, such as the display of ads or clicks by users, can be measured to evaluate the success of advertising campaigns. This works by storing a cookie in your browser by Google Adwords when you access our website via a Google ad, which usually expires after 30 days. This cookie is not intended to identify you personally, but to store the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement, the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), and opt-out information for analysis purposes.

We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data within the scope of using Google Adwords, but only receive statistical evaluations from Google, which enable us to determine which of our advertising campaigns are particularly effective.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process, in addition to the measures already described, by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking, by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, or by permanently deactivating them in your Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome browsers via the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

c. Additionally, we use the Google Remarketing application, which is a process we use to re-engage with you even after you have left our website. In this context, we can display our advertisements to you during your further internet use after you have visited our website. This is done via cookies stored in your browser, through which your user behavior when visiting various websites is recorded and evaluated by Google.

For example, Google can determine your previous visit to our website, but according to Google, pseudonymization of the processed personal data takes place during remarketing.

d. This website also uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to serve ads relevant to users, improve campaign performance reports, or prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Through a cookie ID, Google records which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed multiple times. Furthermore, DoubleClick can use cookie IDs to record so-called conversions that are related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later visits the advertiser’s website with the same browser and makes a purchase there. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal information. You can prevent participation in this tracking process, in addition to the measures already described, by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking, by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, or by permanently deactivating them in your Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome browsers via the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

e. On our website, we use the services of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map function.

By visiting our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website and the personal data listed under c. This occurs regardless of whether you are logged in with a Google account or not. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish this, you must log out of Google before using this service. Google uses your data for advertising, market research, and needs-based website design. You have a right to object to the use of your data in this regard, which you must address directly to Google.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection can be found in Google’s privacy policy, which is available at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield.

f. On our website, we also include links to other websites; this is for informational purposes only. These websites are not under our control and therefore are not covered by the provisions of this privacy policy. If you activate a link, it is possible that the operator of this website collects data about you and processes it according to their privacy policy, which may differ from ours.

7. Data Transfer

As a matter of principle, your data will not be transferred to third parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so, the data transfer is necessary for the performance of a contractual relationship concluded between us, or you have explicitly consented to the transfer of your data beforehand. External processors or other cooperation partners will only receive your data if this is necessary for contract processing or if we have a legitimate interest in it. Insofar as one of our processors comes into contact with your personal data, we ensure that they comply with the provisions of data protection laws in the same way as we do.

Your personal data will not be sold or otherwise marketed by us to third parties outside the group.

If our contractual partners or processors are located in a third country, i.e., a state outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.

8. Security

We implement numerous technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction, and against access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments on the internet.

9. Your Rights

According to the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act, you, as the data subject of our data processing, have the following rights and remedies:

  • Right to Information (Art. 15 GDPR). As a data subject, you have the right to request information on whether, and if so, which personal data concerning you is being processed. For your own protection – to prevent unauthorized third parties from accessing your data – it may be necessary for us to verify your identity in an appropriate manner.
  • Right to Rectification (Art. 16) and Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR). You have the right to obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you or – taking into account the purposes of the data processing – the completion of incomplete personal data, as well as the erasure of your data, provided that the criteria of Art. 17 GDPR are met.
  • Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR). Under the legal conditions, you have the right to obtain restriction of the processing of all collected personal data. From the time of the restriction request, this data will only be processed with individual consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
  • Right to Data Portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can request the unimpeded and unrestricted transmission of collected personal data to a third party.
  • Right to Object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of Consent. If you have separately given consent to the processing of your data, you can withdraw it at any time. Such a withdrawal affects the lawfulness of processing your personal data after you have expressed it to us.

If you take action to enforce your GDPR rights listed above, we must respond to the requested measure or comply with the request without undue delay, but no later than one month after receipt of your application.

We will respond to all reasonable requests within the legal framework, free of charge and as promptly as possible.

The data protection authority is responsible for requests concerning violations of the right to information, violations of the rights to confidentiality, rectification, or erasure.
