What it is about
Sometimes it is most helpful for psychosocial support to take place on-site – at home, in a familiar environment or the place where stress and strain are most present. With this in mind, I offer ambulatory psychotherapy as a home-visit or on-site service in Salzburg and the surrounding area. If travelling to the practice feels difficult at present, we will find a way to ensure you can still access help.
When home visits/on-site sessions are helpful
- Reduced mobility or exhaustion (e.g. following medical events)
- Pre- and postnatal phases, early parenthood, sensitive family situations
- Involvement of family context, especially where transport options are limited
- Acute stress and high tension when leaving home feels too difficult
- Anxiety in public spaces, social anxiety and difficulties returning to everyday routines
- After accidents or traumatic experiences, including help with reintroduction to road traffic and moving through public spaces
Example locations
- Salzburg and surrounding areas by arrangement
- Care facilities and hospitals, in line with local policies and house rules
- Workplace (if agreed with employer)
- Nature and regeneration areas, parks, walking trails
- Everyday routes or gentle support with re-entering road traffic
Goals and advantages of this setting
- Reducing barriers: Support comes to you exactly when you need it
- Working in context: Change can develop where everyday life actually happens
- Supporting transfer and observation of competence: New perspectives, insights and discussed concepts can be tried out immediately in the relevant situation
Important note
Home visits or on-site support are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric emergency care. If there is an immediate risk, please contact the emergency services on 144.
On-site sessions are not provided in cases of acute intoxication, significant risk of harm to oneself or others or circumstances that are socially inappropriate or detrimental to human dignity.
